This kind of enclosures are generally machined through the following procedures: the user provides molds, and the main procedures of blanking (outline), holes cutting and stretch forming are performed on a large-tonnage punch press. This machining method can greatly cut down the labor costs, reduce the product error rate due to human intervention, and guarantee a high enclosure consistency and a high pass rate. However, the mold needs a large one-time investment, and should be re-machined for subsequent modification and dimension change. In view of the features above, this machining method may be used only when two preconditions are met: no change of dimensions and structure of the enclosure and large quantity demand, so that the mold cost shared to a single enclosure is very low.
